Sarageth Flag
The Kingdom of Sarageth, formerly known as Shauchea, is a citystate colonized by Saragethns (or 'Ghillies' in their terms) in eastern Minecraftia that borders Mineu to the west and northwest, Laaos to the north, and in the south it faces the Gulf of Marvel. The geography of Sarageth is dominated by the Smithson River and the Talé Mountain range.

Early History

Sarageth was first constructed inside the Talé Mountains by the aboriginal Shauchii people which occurred roughly 550 years ago, according to ancient records currently housed within the Sarageth Cultural Muesem. It was originally envisioned as a large iron mine, named the Talé Mines, which would support the growth of the original Shauchii city of Shauchea, before emeralds were found amongst the veins in the mountain. From this discovery of potentially profitable material, the mine grew exponentially as guards were hired, contractors came in, and workers settled in the mine to have immediate access to mining.

After generations and generations of mining, tunneling, and quarrying, a great cave-in occurred taking the lives of 20 miners. After this terrible incident which happened because of selfish underhanding means, the Shauchii began the slow process of reversing the hollowing out of the Tale mountains. They built powerful supports, pillars, and walkways which have deterred further collapse all the way up to the modern day.

The vast underground city was further expanded 300 years ago as the original city of Shauchea, located a few miles west in modern day Senhkar, was sacked by vehement griefers, whereas the citizens fled to and sought refuge in the large mines. They recuperated there and as a tribute to their fallen hometown, they renamed the Talé Emerald Mines into "Shauchea", sometimes with the prefix "New". The earliest surviving written source of the underground city is found in the memoirs of Greeneye, then the leader of the Shauchii, who writes that the people now resettling the mines had excavated their dwellings underground, thriving healthily in confines large enough for their families, a few household pets, and stocks of food and storehouses.

Shauchea was once the greatest trading post of eastern Minecraftia, which made it a target for bandits and marauders. They stormed the city and took control, killing any who refused to cooperate. Mineulethian troops invaded to stop bandit incursions across the Mineulethians border and the genocide of innocents in Shauchea from the bandits. The People's Republic of Shauchea, led by the Salvation Front, a group of Shauchean radicals dissatisfied with the bandit guilds and Mineulethian war, was established.

Three years after the Mineulethians invasion in the eastern part of the country, it was divided up into two sections that the bandits and Mineulethians controlled separately. The bandits named themselves the Awan Rogues, a royalist faction led by Shihan Theo, who ruled the dense foliage and jungle regions. The Mineulethians remedied this by controlling the central city of Shauchea which was built within the Talé Mountain range, which was more defensible and valuable than the jungle. Their representative to the Shauchean Republic, Clover Prasith was nominated.

After the destruction of Minecraftia, which cut off the Shaucheans from their suppliers, they were beginning to weaken. The country was locked in a war with the Western Mineulethians and Awan Rogues still battling tirelessly. However, fortunately for the Shaucheans, the Awan Rogues were weakened the most by the destruction. After a few years of cold war, the Rogues and the Mineulethians signed the Treaty of Shauchea, officially ending the war.

Sarageth Entrance
Sarageth is a constitutional monarchy with Nero as the appointed ruling power adorned with the official tilt e of "Aryky". Sarageth is the kingdom's capital and largest city in the region, and is the world-class center of the economic, industrial, commercial and cultural center of Eastern Minecraftia. An ancient city constructed inside the Talé Mountain range, which was at one time a small mine, is now a sprawling city spanning miles underground. Sarageth is the leading destination for trade and is known for its rice production, Obsyus tree sales, and is the primary seaport coastal city with entrances by sea and by land.

Sarageth Internal
The Kingdom of Sarageth spans across an area of approximately 151,000 square kilometers and is generally forests, floodlands, and woodland biomes. Anyone officially living within these borders are citizens of Sarageth, both the city-state and the ruling area. A citizen of Sarageth is customarily known as a "Saragether", "Gethin", or by the derogatory "Cavedweller" if they live in the city. However, they personally prefer to be referred to by their ancestral lineage of either a "Shauchii" or "Ghillie" depending on their genealogy. After an emergency census was issued by the Aryky, Sarageth has a total population of over 7,340 with 4893 foreign Ghillies and 2446 native Shauchii post-destruction, with a 3500 strong standing soldiery.

Agriculture has long been the most important sector to the Saragethn economy, with around 59% of the population relying on agriculture for their livelihood (with rice and wheat being the principal crops). Garments and construction are also important. In 2005, oil and natural gas deposits were found beneath Sarageth's territorial waters, and once commercial extraction began in 2011, the oil revenues profoundly affected Sarageth's economy for the better. The older population often lacks education, particularly in the countryside, which suffers from a lack of basic infrastructure. Fear of renewed political instability and corruption within the government discourages foreign investment and delay foreign aid.

Adopted from the annex by the western Mineulethians to stop the increased bandit activity, Notchianity is a pre-War monotheistic religion based on the life and teachings of Notch of the Sky, as presented in the gospels and other New Testament writings.

Although Notchianity still exists in post-destruction Sarageth, its overall influence has waned. Many new religions have sprung up in its place. Where Notchianity still holds sway, it has shattered into even more splinter groups, such as the Jebolicism-derived High Jeb Church in Senhkar City.
